The Band Coulee Creek

In the summer of 2020, a group of musicians met in an open-air pavilion in a small town along the banks of the Mississippi River.  The musicians represented a variety of musical influences -  jazz, blues, country, classical, and bluegrass.  Both instrumentalist and vocalist would come together to form the band Coulee Creek.

Their initial album “Matriarch Song and Verse” brought numerous accolades from music critics throughout the music community.  

A Tribute to the Women of Bluegrass and Old-Time Music -- Band members are from the Coulee Region, perform their renditions of Bluegrass and Old-Time Music's most influential female musicians.  Tribute to artists like: Ada Habershon, Alison Brown, Alison Krauss, Dolly Parton, Elizabeth Cotten, Ola Belle Reed, Rose Maddox, Alice Gerrard, Hazel Dickens, Ronda Vincent, and Rhiannon Giddens.
