About the event
Fayme Rochelle & The Waxwings is a La Crosse-based Country/Americana band that blends classic country with original songs for an authentic musical experience. Formed in June 2024 for a tribute to Lucinda Williams' Car Wheels on a Gravel Road, the band features multiple lead singers and pays homage to iconic duos like George Jones & Tammy Wynette and Loretta Lynn & Conway Twitty. Their repertoire includes songs from The Louvin Brothers, Buck Owens, and Emmylou Harris, alongside original tracks like "Half a Dollar" and "I Want You," as well as standards like "Rain & Snow" and "Coo Coo." With three vocalists and a diverse arrangement of electric and acoustic guitars, upright and electric bass, keys, and drums, they create a rich, vibrant sound.
